- Immunohistochemical stains for mismatch repair proteins were performed. Expression of the DNA mismatch repair proteins MLH1, MSH2, MSH6 and PMS2 is retained in tumor cells. This indicates a low likelihood of tumor microsatellite instability (MSI) or Lynch syndrome.

- 错配修复蛋白免疫组化染色结果:DNA错配修复蛋白(MLH1、MSH2、MSH6和PMS2)在肿瘤细胞中全部表达,提示肿瘤微卫星不稳定性(MSI)或林奇综合征可能性低。

- Immunohistochemical stains for mismatch repair proteins were performed.
Immunohistochemical expression of the DNA mismatch repair proteins in tumor cells:
MLH1 and PMS2 are lostMSH2 and MSH6 are retained.
These results indicate a high likelihood of tumor microsatellite instability (MSI), most likely sporadic (epigenetic) type, but additional molecular testing (e.g., BRAF mutation) would be required to exclude Lynch syndrome with certainty.
